It has happened.

The front rail of Toot's crib has been removed, and he is now officially learning how to sleep in a "big boy bed"!

We removed it yesterday. And he thought being able to climb into his bed all on his own was TOO COOL. He slept with the rail off last night for the first time. And did a fine job. Had some minor difficulties getting to sleep, but only woke up a couple of times during the night - and then, he didn't leave the bed. This morning, he woke up pleasantly and played in his room until Poodle and I came in to get him. (Patty - Toot doesn't know how to work doorknobs yet. It's the only reason he's not swinging from the chandeliers at 2:00am).

Sooo0 - time marches on. We will put him in a "real" bed as soon as we get it all together. The headboard is in the attic, but we haven't yet gathered all the pieces parts (including sheets, etc) so the whole bed can be assembled. And then I guess I'll have to quit calling him my baby boy. lol..... Yeah. Like that will ever happen. :-)

P.S. My apologies for the poor picture quality. The camera has developed gremlins that won't leave. I guess we'll have to get another one or something. Blugh.

Oh my goodness - I can't even imagine Mr. Baby being "free to roam" - Congrats on the big boy bed to come Tooter!
