Big Weekend

The Zoo just finished a long, busy, but very good weekend. First, Leslie came in on Thursday evening, and David came in Friday afternoon. And we were all able to go out to eat together Friday night at the Elite!

I can only suppose that the dear waitress that took the picture for us was under the impression that baby Audrey is in the baby witness protection program. Both pictures have her almost completely cut out! You can see her cute legs in MooMoo's arms. That's about it.

Then, on Saturday, Captain Robert and Captain GaGa got their new project into the water. They have bought a 1970'something Santana 21 sailboat! She has been named Chaser, but I'm not sure if she was properly christened on Saturday or not. The Zoo folks came by Saturday morning and watched her go into the water, watched the mast go up and watched Robert get the sails on, but we had to leave before they all did any real sailing. Lunch and naps trump most things!

Wee Poodle hanging out on the dock.

Captain BopBop!

GaGa and his grandboy - thick as THIEVES, these two are. Seriously, they're going to be trouble when Tooter gets older.

Then, later Saturday night, we had a wonderful "gadget and grill" shower for Robert and Megan at the clubhouse. It was so much fun, and the "kids" got a lot of great stuff. The next day, Sunday, had us at church with lunch afterwards. And, then, communion after that. I had to leave immediately to hit another wedding shower in Clinton for Megan, which was a miscellaneous shower. They got some great stuff there too. SueSue took me around to see everything (since I was sooo late getting there), and she and I both wanted to take most of it home with us!

Aunt Julie, SueSue, Tooter, and Amy. Tooter surrounded by beautiful women - you know he was having a great time!

Poodle and Jacob - flower girl and ring bearer for Robert and Megan's wedding. Jacob is SUCH a sweetheart. We just love him!

And, of course, Amy and Poodle. Isn't she gorgeous? Poodle isn't too bad either. ::grin:: Poodle had commandeered Amy's camera and was "taking pictures". I'm sure Amy had to delete at least 40 something shots of feet and chairs and torsos!

Over all, it was a great weekend, but the kids are beat today. Poodle was asleep last night by 6:30! They are currently napping, and I'm doing the blog so I have an excuse to sit in Jmk's chair and watch my HGTV shows. Woohoo! :-)
