Power of One Child
Tooter had quite an effect on people yesterday.
My folks were sitting in front of us at church. For a long while, Tooter sat in GaGa's lap, and laid on his chest while GaGa scooped his arms around the little man, and just rocked him. Then, Toot got up, walked across the pew to MooMoo, and wrapped his chubby little arms around her neck and just held on for dear life. I watched MooMoo just close her eyes and drink in every tiny second of that hug.
Later yesterday, we went to SueSue's house. Dear SueSue has had a "Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad" past couple of weeks - and towards the end of our visit, she ended up sitting in a chair holding Tooter while he slept in her arms. And she seemed to gather some much needed peace and love from that moment.
Sometimes babies just know what others need. Or, maybe, our Father just knows what others need from the babies.
It was just a special thing to watch my son bring a little comfort and happiness to people whom I love so much.
I'd post some pictures from Mother's Day, but, unfortunately, I hardly took a one! I just wasn't on my game with the camera yesterday. I blame it on this allergy/sinus/bronchitis crud that we just can't seem to shake around here. It's running rampant around our area. No fun a'tall.
I hope your Mother's Day was special and wonderful in its own way!
