Border - DOWN!
Noooo - not THAT border. The border around the ceiling in the kitchen. It is DOWN! Now, the only pre-us wallpaper that remains in the house is the ::cough:: fish border in the office, (Y'all, it's not good. Bass and fishing poles and the like. Good for a hunting/fishing camp. Not good for my house) and the wallpaper in the bathroom off of the office. However, the former ought to come down fairly easily, since it appears to be a peelable paper. And the latter is going to stay for now, because it's actually a nice looking paper in a color combo that works just fine for the time being.
Now, the old paper in the kids' bathroom and the border in the kitchen weren't bad looking papers. Really, they weren't. They just weren't what we needed. Not our style.
But it takes me a while to live in a space before I know what in the world I want to do with it. Thus, the huge delay in decorating. (That, and our money and time was allocated elsewhere!) AND, Jmk and I have different styles. I'm a little bit traditional, and he's a little bit rock-n-....wait. He's a little bit contemporary. So, we're finding a happy middle ground that suits both of us.
Anyway, now that we have lived here for awhile, and finally have a vision for things, we have ants in our pants to get the builder's beige OFF the walls and get our vision ON the walls.
Course, peeling wallpaper with kids underfoot is much easier than painting will be. Thus, that part may take a bit longer to see completion. But we'll get to it. Like Jmk says, we have to have things finished by hunting season! ha!

You, my dear, are much more ambitious and braver than I. I'm most impressed that you're tackling removal of wallpaper and considering painting with munchkins underfoot! Will I ever reach the point where I think I can do such with a toddler around???
